REACH non-compliance - FAST products

Vår leverandør, Fujikura, informerer oss om at FAST-koblingene (FAST-xxx) ikke lenger er i samsvar med REACH.

Manglende samsvar gjelder spesifikt innholdet av et PFAS-kjemikalie (detaljer nedenfor) som ble lagt til REACH SVHC (251)-listen i juni 2025.

Dette kjemikalet finnes i kile-delen i produktet (bildet under) 

Fujikura har allerede funnet en materialerstatning, sluttkontroll skal foretas før det nye materialet offisielt erstatter dagens materiale. Det første kompatible produktet er anslått å bli sendt ut tidlig i april 2026. 

I henhold til EU-forskrifter kan Fujikura fortsette å levere produktene siden de faller godt under terskelen for å kvalifisere for registrering (denne terskelen gjelder import av ikke-samsvarende produkter over 1 tonn per år). I henhold til EUs regelverk for avvik under terskelverdien er Foss derfor pålagt å gjøre kundene oppmerksomme på avviket, slik at de kan godta/avvise produktet.    

Hvis du ikke ønsker å beholde dette produktet på grunn av manglende samsvar med REACH, kan du returnere det til Foss for refusjon.

Our supplier, Fujikura, informs us that the FAST connectors (FAST-xxx) no longer are in compliance with REACH. 

The non-compliance, specifically relates to the content of a PFAS chemical (details below) which was added to the REACH SVHC (251) list in June 2025. 

This chemical is contained in the wedge part of the solution (image below) 

Fujikura have already identified a suitable material replacement, and this is undergoing final checks before the new material officially replaces the existing material used. The first compliant product is estimated to be shipping early April 2026.

Under EU regulations, Fujikura can continue to supply the products as they fall well below the threshold to qualify for registration (this threshold relates to the importation of non-compliant product above 1 metric tonne per year). So following EU regulations for below threshold noncompliance, Foss are required to make customers aware of the non-compliance so they can accept/decline the product. 

If you do not wish to keep this product because of the non-compliance with REACH, please return it to Foss for a refund.
